Integrate Responsum with the tools you already use

Introducton

Responsum can be connected to other applications your organization already uses, so that data can flow automatically between them instead of being managed manually. Integrations are built on top of our API using a workflow automation layer and are configured to match your specific environment, tools, and processes rather than relying on generic, one-size-fits-all connectors.

If you have questions about connecting a specific system, or want to discuss a new integration, contact us via support@responsum.eu.

Overview

Integrations built around your organization

Every organization runs a different mix of tools. Instead of forcing you into a fixed set of pre-built connectors, Responsum integrations are put together around the systems and technology stack you already use and tailored to how your processes actually work.

Connect through APIs

Integrations use our API and our own in house workflow automation systems hosted in the EU to securely exchange data between Responsum and your existing applications. This covers both pulling data into Responsum (e.g. Users, Vendors, Incident tickets etc.) and pushing data out (e.g. Processing activities, Consent records, Risks etc.).

Configured for your business

Every integration is configured around your specific workflows and requirements, so it fits the way your organization operates rather than a generic, not customisable connector.

Fast, with clear expectations

Many integrations are completed through a short, step-by-step configuration project. For more complex environments, we scope the work together beforehand, so timelines, pricing and implementation expectations are clear before anything starts.

From request to working integration

Most integrations do not require a lengthy implementation project. In general, the process looks like this:

  1. Review your systems and integration requirements together with our team.
  2. Configure the connection using our API and workflow automation.
  3. Validate data flows and security before the integration goes live.
  4. Scale or extend the integration later on as your environment evolves.

If you’d like to start this process, you can book a demo or reach out to support@responsum.eu.

Examples of systems we connect

Responsum regularly connects with identity, productivity, consent, document management, data governance, CRM, and other business platforms. Some examples:

Identity & productivity

  • Microsoft 365 – Sync users, files, and permissions across Microsoft’s productivity suite.
  • Google Workspace – Connect Gmail, Drive, and Google’s collaboration tools to your privacy workflows.
  • Microsoft Active Directory – Automatically sync user accounts and access rights for accurate data mapping.
  • Cookiebot – Capture cookie consent logs directly from this popular consent banner tool.
  • Civic UK – Log consent from Civic’s cookie control banner into your compliance records.
  • Consent Manager – Capture consent records from this EU cookie and tracking consent platform.
  • Collibra – Link your data governance catalog to keep records and risk assessments aligned.
  • Filerskeepers – Pull in global data retention schedules to keep deletion policies up to date.
  • Rulefinder by aosphere – Access expert legal analysis on international privacy laws.

CRM & business platforms

  • DealCloud – Sync deal and relationship data from this CRM built for capital markets firms.

This list is not exhaustive — it’s meant to illustrate the range of systems we typically connect to, not to limit what’s possible.

Your own internal applications

Proprietary or custom-built systems can also be connected. If your platform supports APIs or standard connectors, we can assess how it can be integrated with Responsum, even if it isn’t listed above.

How integrations are secured

Data exchanges run over secure APIs and are validated before going live. As part of setting up an integration, we review authentication, permissions and data flows to make sure everything meets your organization’s security and governance requirements.

FAQ

What systems can Responsum integrate with?

Responsum integrates with any application that supports APIs. This includes identity providers, document management systems, CRM platforms, consent tools and custom business applications.

Does Responsum offer one-click integrations?

No. Integrations are configured to match your environment and business processes rather than using generic one-click connectors. This approach ensures the integration fits your workflows while keeping implementation straightforward.

How long does it take to set up an integration?

Many integrations are completed within a few days after requirements are reviewed. Each project is scoped in advance so timelines, costs and technical expectations are clear before implementation begins.

Can Responsum integrate with custom or in-house applications?

Yes. Custom applications can be connected through our API and workflow automation, configured around your existing systems to support data exchange and automated business processes.

What data can be exchanged through integrations?

Integrations can import, export or synchronize users, processing activities, consent records, vendors and other governance data. All sub-modules of Responsum are available through our API, so they can be included into integrations for reading and writing data to and from Responsum.

How are integrations secured?

Data exchanges use secure APIs with a workflow system that is hosted within the EU. The workflows are validated before going live. We review authentication, permissions and data flows to ensure integrations meet your security and governance requirements.

Can integrations be expanded as our environment grows?

Yes. Integrations can be extended as new systems, workflows, or business requirements are introduced. We work with your team to adapt existing integrations without disrupting your privacy management processes.
